We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in energy markets, who is comfortable managing processes and moving tasks forward in a structured way. You are motivated by delivering results and enjoy working at the intersection of market insights, data analysis, and translating those into actionable recommendations.

  • External Collaboration: Engage with external forecasters and market data providers to understand their methodologies and assumptions, and reflect these in CIP’s internal perspectives.
  • Commercial & Strategic Insights: Contribute to the assessment of market trends, regulatory developments, and commercial opportunities, supporting both project-level decisions and broader strategic discussions.

Main Interfaces/stakeholders:

  • Market Data Vendors & Forecasters - Assist with vendor relationships, collaborate with them to understand their methodologies and assumptions, and support the timely delivery of forecasts within CIP platform. Stay informed on market offerings through vendor webinars and industry events.
  • Energy Management Team - Collaborate closely with colleagues to contribute to energy market analysis, forecasting, and pricing insights that support commercial strategies.
  • Investment, Investment Management & Investor Relations Teams - Work closely with several teams across CIP to provide market insights, energy price and revenue inputs, and other relevant information that support investment decisions, project-level considerations and investor requests.
  • Finance, FP&A, and Valuation Committees - Support the preparation of long-term forecasts and maintain alignment of vendor assumptions, ensuring consistency of data used for financial modelling, asset valuations, and investor reporting.

You

You come with 1-5 years of experience in energy markets, data analysis, or financial modelling, supported by a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, economics, finance, engineering, energy systems, or a related field. Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage your workload effectively are essential.

The role involves stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration, so comfort in these areas is key. Familiarity with long-term energy price forecasting, energy system modelling, data analysis, Power BI, and modelling skills (Excel or programming experience) is highly desirable.
