Further develop our in-house battery optimization software and roll it out across the organization;
Enhance and customize the mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) optimization model for battery projects across various countries and markets;
Deploy the software to the cloud and build APIs to integrate it into Axpo’s IT infrastructure;
Collaborate with internal teams and external software providers to ensure seamless integration;
Support internal users of the optimization software, address their questions, and implement updates based on user needs.
What you bring & who you are:
University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, natural sciences, or a related field;
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, such as a quantitative analyst or software engineer, ideally in the energy sector;
Either advanced modeling skills (preferably MILP optimization) with an interest in building scalable software systems, or a strong software engineering background with an interest in quantitative work;
Ideally, knowledge of European energy markets (day-ahead, intraday, ancillary services) and how batteries can participate in them;
Team-oriented with an international mindset and a passion for working with teams across Europe;
Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
