Job summary:

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers. Your role will be to generate high-quality leads, build relationships, and set up meetings for our sales team. This is a key position that directly contributes to our company’s growth and success.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Identifying and researching new business opportunities through various lead generation methods.
  • Prospecting outbound leads and qualifying inbound leads using phone, email, and social outreach.
  • Joining meetings and working closely with the Account Managers to nurture relationships with prospective clients and converting them into qualified opportunities.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and the latest developments in our product/service.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • University degree in Sustainability and/or Business related discipline
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience with a high preference for experience in sales and/or the climate field
  • Track record in meeting and exceeding targets of any kind
  • Results-driven and action-oriented with self-direction and sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, in English and German
  • Advanced prioritisation and time management skills
  • Genuine passion and alignment to the climate change industry

Desirable:

  • Climate action and carbon projects knowledge
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment
  • Experience using Salesforce
