Corporate Strategy & Business Development Senior Associate/Energy Assets Development

This role will support MET Group´s corporate strategy, evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities, as well as shape and manage various business development initiatives.
Essential responsibilities
Provide a clear view on renewables and conventional energy market trends based on economic, regulatory, technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions;
Lead and facilitate multiple large strategic initiatives in cooperation with the executives of the Renewable and Asset Segment;
Pro-actively propose and design identified operational excellence and strategic initiatives, build project teams, and support shaping MET Groups strategic agenda;
Evaluate the strategic consistency of the Renewable and Asset Segment's business, as well as due diligence organic and inorganic M&A/ project opportunities;
Monitor competitor developments and benchmarks, as well as market developments across all business areas to assess their long-term impact;
Originate and evaluate business/investment opportunities in innovative, low-carbon fuel sources and technologies;
Project manage pan-European and global business development/ building initiatives.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in finance, law or business administration from a tier1 university (CFA and/or MBA a plus);
4-5 years’ experience in developing energy assets from investment banking, private equity/debt, and/or M&A;
In-depth expertise in the European energy market;
Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options;
Excellent project management and interpersonal skills;
Highly motivated, solid work ethic, and ability to work in a close-knit team;
Creative and open-minded with an ability to link theoretical scenarios into concrete action plans/practice;
Fluent English, other European languages a plus.
