About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical professional to join the Market Intelligence team, delivering actionable market insights that inform strategic decision-making, investment planning, competitive positioning, regulatory impact assessments, and risk management across all OX2 markets. The role will support commercial decision-making, product development, and portfolio value creation across our focus markets.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the company's transition towards becoming a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor power market fundamentals, regulatory developments, and emerging market trends across key markets;
  • Analyse market data and develop insights on power prices, renewable generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and market risks;
  • Develop, maintain, and challenge market views, external forecasts, and key commercial assumptions;
  • Build and enhance analytical models, datasets, and tools supporting market analysis, portfolio management, and investment decisions;
  • Support asset optimization by analysing capture prices, imbalance exposure, and BESS value streams;
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis related to portfolio strategy, structured offtake solutions, and BESS offtake opportunities;
  • Develop automated workflows and apply AI and advanced analytics techniques to strengthen market intelligence capabilities;
  • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable qualitative and quantitative insights to internal stakeholders;
  • Partner closely with the Structuring team on pricing, portfolio management, transaction support, and commercial evaluations.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong analytical background in power markets, energy trading, renewables, or energy economics;
  • Experience working with power pricing, market fundamentals, forecasting, or asset optimization;
  • Advanced quantitative and data analysis skills, including experience with modelling and large datasets;
  • Strong capability to develop analytical tools and automate workflows using modern data and AI technologies;
  • Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and translate complex analysis into business decisions;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Swedish and/or Spanish is considered an advantage.
