Position Overview

Monroe Ride Solutions (MRS), a Tenneco business, is seeking a motivated and analytically strong Sustainability Specialist – Product Carbon & LCA to support the execution of our global product and operational sustainability strategy.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or high-potential candidate with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for sustainability to develop within an international automotive environment. The position plays a key role in ensuring robust sustainability data, credible product carbon footprint calculations, and regulatory readiness across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Carbon Footprint & Life Cycle Assessment

  • Support and execute cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint (PCF) calculations;
  • Assist in development and maintenance of LCA models aligned with customer and industry expectations;
  • Contribute to modelling of alternative material and energy scenarios;
  • Support carbon hotspot analysis and improvement identification;
  • Assist in evaluating cost versus carbon trade-offs for material and process decisions.

Sustainability Data & Regulatory Readiness

  • Collect, structure, and analyse supplier sustainability data across global supply chains;
  • Support development and maintenance of databases for material traceability and emissions tracking;
  • Ensure documentation standards, auditability, and data quality processes are maintained;
  • Assist in preparing sustainability-related customer submissions and questionnaires.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse emissions and material datasets to identify trends and reduction opportunities;
  • Support development of dashboards and reporting tools;
  • Improve data governance and automation of sustainability data flows.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and regional teams globally;
  • Support sustainability input for global RFQs and customer technical discussions;
  • Contribute to cross-functional sustainability projects.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar;
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured way of working;
  • Understanding of lifecycle thinking and carbon accounting principles (academic knowledge acceptable);
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with LCA tools (e.g., GaBi, SimaPro, openLCA) is an advantage;
  • Interest in manufacturing, materials, and industrial sustainability;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop professionally;
  • Comfortable working in a global, matrix organisation.
