This position offers you the opportunity to make a real impact, grow your technical skills and help shape sustainable energy markets of the future.

Your sunny outlook:

YOUR MAIN FOCUS:

Pricing & Quantitative Modelling:

You apply high-resolution stochastic models to price energy products ranging from standard hedging instruments to structured derivatives such as PPAs, tolling agreements, swaps and options.

Hedging Strategies & Product Structuring:

You actively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative hedging strategies and support the structuring of tailored products for industrial offtakers.

Digitalization & Tool Development:

You further develop and build software solutions and analytical tools to automate pricing, hedging, risk assessments, reporting and performance monitoring in close collaboration with IT and external partners.

FURTHER RESPONSIBILITIES - TOGETHER WITH THE TEAM:

Risk Assessment & Portfolio Analytics:

You quantify market, shape and volume risks on deal, asset and portfolio level by combining market data analytics with meteorological modelling.

Management & Decision Support:

You prepare ad-hoc analyses for management and the board and guide decision-makers with well-founded interpretations of assumptions, models, risks and results.

We'll get wind of that soon:

Academic Background & Experience:

You have a university degree in natural sciences, economics, statistics or a comparable field, and ideally more than one year of experience in a quantitative role within origination, trading or risk management.

Quantitative & Analytical Expertise:

You have strong experience in statistical analysis and the application of stochastic models to evaluate risk/return profiles in energy or commodity markets.

Data & Programming Skills:

You are experienced in using AI tools as part of your analytical workflow - beyond coding assistance, you leverage them to create context-aware, agentic solutions that support automation, reproducibility and high-quality modelling. You confidently extract, manipulate and analyze data from APIs, databases and files, using Python, R and SQL, and visualize results and insights for decision making.

Energy Markets & Renewables Mindset:

You are passionate about the energy transition and bring a strong interest or know-how in renewable energy, power markets and, ideally, meteorology.

Structured & Independent Working Style:

You enjoy working independently, think analytically, act responsibly and contribute proactively as a reliable team player.

Communication Skills:

You communicate clearly and confidently in both German and English and are comfortable explaining complex quantitative topics to non-technical stakeholders.
