KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Develop projects focused on agricultural climate solutions within the food value chain;
- Support the ACS team by providing agronomic and technical advice to optimize the development of carbon and biodiversity projects in the realm of regenerative agriculture;
- Build expertise in the field of soil science, regenerative agriculture principles and sustainable agriculture to facilitate the development of carbon projects;
- Maintain robust relationships with farmers and technical experts in the key countries;
- Advise clients on agricultural decarbonisation strategies.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Agronomy or similar;
- Experience in regenerative agriculture and soil science;
- Understanding of soil science and relevant greenhouse gas balance in agricultural systems including potential mitigation measures;
- Knowledge of and experience with leading greenhouse gas accounting protocols, frameworks, and associated methodologies, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Value Change Initiative, Verra, Climate Action Reserve, or similar;
- A driven individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to thrive in an innovative early-stage environment;
- Proficient in communication and team player, with a keen focus on people and a structured approach to projects;
- Fluent in English; Proficiency in other European languages is a bonus.
