Jointly craft climate risk service offerings targeting corporate client specific risk advisory and data needs in the area of:
Physical Climate Risk and Natural Catastrophes (focus);
Transition Risk (additional);
Climate Risk Mitigation and Adaptation measures;
Regulatory Reporting such as EU Taxonomy and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD);
Pitch and creation of client advisory engagements and risk assessment tools, ensuring high quality service and building of long-term client relationships, including expansion and scale of risk transfer opportunities;
Provision of natural catastrophes and physical climate change risk expertise to support various functions, i.e., Risk Engineering Services (RES), RDS (Risk, Data & Services) sustainability, and underwriting;
Driving business development activities through thought leadership (publications/conferences) and partnerships with other institutions.
About you
University degree in relevant field (e.g. Masters);
Work experience (min. 3 years) in climate science/natural catastrophes (quantitative field);
Familiarity with climate science concepts;
Ability to think 'out of the box' and link physical climate risk applications to other areas;
Ability to break down sophisticated concepts into easily understandable information;
Enjoy client interaction and engaging presentations;
Preferably experience in a corporate insurance underwriting and buying setting;
Self-motivated to drive and own topics independently through to completion;
Strong conceptual and analytical skills to drive methods, models, data mining, etc.;
Creative solution thinking with a 'can do' mentality;
Ability to work in a virtual team set-up and motivated to constantly learn and further develop existing skills;
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills;
English language proficiency any other language a plus.
