Your responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Monitor and control all financial budgets;
  • Negotiate and communicate with all parties in the process of acquiring or disposing of assets to ensure that the best possible agreements financially are settled;
  • Accounts & Invoice Verification; bank reporting; Coordination with Tax consultants and auditors;
  • Overall management of the energy sales done by the Energy sales Management team and approve and monitoring all payments of the plant;
  • Support Financial controller with analysis of P&L variance and CF Forecast and Solar plants Budget;
  • Long-term planning, optimization & monitoring of revenues & costs.

Project Monitoring

  • Monitor day-to-day operations of the Asset Management organization providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high-performance standards;
  • Monitor and influence all maintenance and operations and maintenance activities for the assets;
  • Maximize total return for each asset through the analysis of system efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance;
  • Foresighted minimization of downtimes & production losses;
  • Spares control and procurement of new component and equipment.

Commercial Management

  • Contribute developing policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative and contract requirements are fulfilled;
  • Review all SPV contracts for obligations SPV and other contract parties respectively, including insurance;
  • Optimization of existing contract Evaluation of market analyses (Compare cost/performance levels for service providers. Fix electricity prices or interest rates optimally, if necessary);
  • Negotiation of new contracts;
  • Collaboration with internal Aquila departments for contract optimization and quality assurance;
  • Develop compliance calendar, evaluate and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities with legal requirements;
  • Provide assistance in the due diligence and acquisition process, including a review of financial and operational assumptions.

Your qualifications

  • University degree ideally with a focus on Business Administration, Corporate Finance, Economics (Financial accumen);
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in the field of finance or asset management in the renewable energy sector;
  • Knowledge of Project & Contract Management;
  • Good understanding and experience working with financial models;
  • Proactive and pragmatic mind-set;
  • Eagerness to learn, support and adapt to new opportunities and changing environments;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
  • Fluent language skills in Spanish and English are mandatory.
