Reporting to the Senior Asset Owner, this role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support of solar, wind, hydro and storage power generating assets in the Territory through pre-construction, construction and operation phases, to optimize the value of the assets for the business;
  • Ensure that the assets are:
    • Constructed in accordance with the price, schedule, specifications and terms of the relevant EPC Contract;
    • Operated and maintained in accordance with the price, schedule, scope and terms of the relevant O&M Contract, Annual O&M Plan and Annual O&M Budget;
    • Kept safe and secure at all times; and
    • Administered in accordance with the relevant internal standards and procedures and applicable law and regulations.
  • Support senior asset owner as representative of the Owner in front of EPC Contractor, O&M Contractor, Lenders, Government Authorities, Offtakers, Suppliers, partners and other key stakeholders to manage the contractual relationships;
  • Monitor the construction phase of various assets from start of construction up to commissioning and commercial operation date the mobilization of the O&M teams, the handover from EPC to O&M teams and ensure that all regulatory requirements and conditions precedent are met to put the assets in to commercial operation;
  • Support the project finance process from initial stages up to Financial Close (including the technical, legal and insurance DD process) and the execution of punch list items at the end of construction;
  • Build, foster and maintain relationships with local, national and regional authorities as well as other stakeholders, important to the successful finance, construction and operation of the assets in the Territory;
  • Monitor the asset planning obligations/compliance and prepare necessary planning applications to the Council/Municipality when needed;
  • Build, foster and maintain positive and constructive relationships with the various internal Business lines in the execution of their activities with respect to the various assets, as well as with the various corporate support functions;
  • Monitor the assets HSE against the objectives set for the Territory and for each of the assets;
  • Ensure that the assets are constructed and operated in accordance with Voltalia’s quality procedures, that assets are kept secure, that operational procedures are adhered to, and to immediately report and rectify any such deficiencies;
  • Foster a lean, efficient and performant working environment within the various asset teams, where employees feel valued and are encouraged to contribute to solutions, and where a respectful, safe and collaborative work environment is promoted at all times.

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in a Development or EPC role within Solar, BESS or Wind;
  • Engineering or Science Degree;
  • Budgeting experience;
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders, internal and external;
  • Knowledge of UK EPC HSE laws & regulations.
