As Clean Energy Business Development Manager you will be the focal point for championing the delivery and growth of the UK Clean Energy and Power business through the development of cost competitive innovative products and services that are operationally efficient, and create maximum value to SEFE Energy, its customers, and partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Some of the activities involved include:

  • Increase our renewable power portfolio within the I&C market sector through enhanced relationships with designated TPIs and the expansion of direct sales with generators;
  • Originate and close innovative structures (Renewables PPA, battery, green certificate, or gas-to-power) in the UK and support the effective integration of these transactions within the organisation;
  • Account manage the embedded generation portfolio;
  • Develop new origination ideas based on market developments and client interactions;
  • Own the development of products and services which customers value;
  • Expand and strengthen our route to market opportunities;
  • Build strategic relationships with core internal business partners for example Trading desk, optimisation, analytics, risk, IT, etc.;
  • Work with SEFE colleagues and support teams to develop the capabilities needed to offer a broad range of Energy Transition services;
  • Inspire and develop commercial sales awareness, knowledge, and skills of the UK clean energy and power industry;
  • Expand awareness of competitor activity within the UK Clean Energy and Power market;
  • Represent and promote the SEFE brand both internally and externally at conferences and seminars;
  • Increase awareness of our reputation for customer service and product flexibility.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Extensive knowledge in the UK PPA, GPA and Power I&C market and its operations;
  • Solid experience in clean energy products;
  • Awareness and understanding of the Electricity grid constraints and renewable assets challenges and opportunities;
  • Knowledge and experience in developing product offerings;
  • Proven ability to initiate, negotiate and close structured deals;
  • Experience in carrying out complicated commercial negotiation, the ability to sell at board room level and a track record of hitting ambitious sales targets;
  • Experience selling flexible procurement products;
  • Excellent commercial instinct, integrity, perseverance, and creativity to deal with customers and TPIs;
  • Strong team player with willingness to collaborate, develop and share expertise across SEFE;
  • Outstanding communication skills and demonstrable ability to build long term relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) in both a written and verbal format;
  • An eye for detail, working quickly and accurately under pressure and able to manage high volume workflows;
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to quickly digest and understand complex information;
  • Self-motivated with the skills to engage and inspire others;
  • Ability to travel within the UK and other European countries;
  • Degree level education or equivalent industry experience.
