Your new role

As our new Key Accounts Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage large EU framework contracts for technical assistance (mainly DG REFORM and EIB);
  • Identify and assess opportunities, and position Ramboll in a multi-stakeholder environment;
  • Lead bid project teams, and write proposals with the support of technical consultants;
  • Establish and coordinate teams of local consultants working across all EU Member States;
  • Provide professional support to the consulting teams, helping them to use the right tools at the right time to maximise the success of their bids and projects;
  • Maintain and develop a network of local consultants both within and outside Ramboll.

You will be part of our dynamic and growing Strategic Sustainability Consulting division. In Brussels, we specialise in the European Public Sector and our main clients are the European Institutions and bodies. Our multidisciplinary team of consultants is international, multicultural and multilingual. We have diversified and highly qualified backgrounds, but we all converge with high professional drive, strong team spirit, and a passion for creating sustainable change. Our team is known in Ramboll for our true commitment to the sustainability transition and for working on some of the most strategic and impactful projects that benefit society and nature.

About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.

These include:

  • 8-10 years’ work experience in a consulting environment, including 5 years’ experience as bid/project manager of large international technical assistance projects, and a successful track record of winning tenders;
  • Very good understanding of business development activities (e.g. tendering process, writing proposals, etc.) and of how bids are evaluated in a public-sector and/or EU institutions environment; previous experience with DG REFORM and/or the EIB is a plus;
  • Strategic and commercial mindset, and capability of making decisions and have an awareness of the impact of those decisions on other stakeholders;
  • Multi-tasking skills, being able to manage several proposals and projects at the same time, and flexibility and willingness to adjust actions in response to changes in priorities;
  • Highly organised, paying attention to details while being efficient;
  • Multidisciplinary, curiosity, and ability to learn fast about new topics.
