A Sustainability Consultant focused on providing customers with sustainability and circularity services typically has a client-facing role that involves guiding businesses in adopting more sustainable and circular practices.

Key Accountabilities

  • Customer Engagement:
    • Interface directly with clients to understand their sustainability objectives, challenges, and business goals.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Sustainability and Circularity Assessment:
    • Conduct in-depth sustainability and circularity assessments tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each client.
    • Identify opportunities for improving environmental, social, and economic impacts within the client's operations.
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Modeling:
    • Develop and execute Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) models for the client's products or processes.
    • Communicate LCA results in a clear and understandable manner to clients, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Preparation of Written Documents:
    • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reports, and other relevant documents.
    • Ensure that reports are tailored to the client's needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Eco-design:
    • Collaborate with clients on eco-design initiatives, integrating sustainability principles into the product design and development process.
    • Provide guidance on sustainable material choices and design strategies.
  • Calculations and Data Analysis:
    • Conduct complex calculations related to sustainability metrics, such as environmental, economic, and social indicators.
    • Assist clients in interpreting data and understanding the implications for their business.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Assist clients in communicating their sustainability efforts to stakeholders, including customers, investors, and the public.
    • Develop communication materials and strategies to enhance the client's sustainability image.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Collaborate with clients to identify ongoing opportunities for improvement in sustainability practices.
    • Provide guidance on the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance sustainability performance.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage sustainability projects, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting client expectations.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute projects effectively.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the client's cross-functional teams, including R&D, supply chain, and marketing, to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes.


  • Master’s Degree in Engineering General.
