ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Drive Sustainability and Drive+ streams including 15 OEMs/automotive companies and 30+ automotive suppliers;
  • Define overall strategy and assure alignment across both streams;
  • Represent Drive Sustainability in front of external partners and stakeholders;
  • Build consensus and facilitate the decision-making process across all partners of the automotive network;
  • Assure content development for and implementation of the project and all workstreams under it;
  • Develop activity plans and produce progress reports;
  • Define and implement a governance model for the group;
  • Engage with existing members as well as initiate new project working groups consisting of different automotive companies’ representatives;
  • Assure budget oversight and vendor management;
  • Lead a team of project managers that are experts in a variety of topics and projects in relation to human rights and environmental due diligence, compliance, sustainable sourcing of raw materials, carbon neutrality, circular economy etc.;
  • Assure continuous support, coaching and skill development of the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Management experience: at least 5 years of managing project teams with a proven track record; experience in IT project management is considered as a plus;
  • Content expertise: strong knowledge, understanding and practical experience on:
    • sustainable sourcing and raw materials;
    • training and capacity-building;
    • human rights and environmental due diligence;
    • decarbonisation of the supply chain and circular value chain.
  • Sector expertise: experience in the automotive industry or other manufacturing sectors, experience in supply chain is considered as a big plus;
  • Business acumen: corporate experience (at least 3 years), at ease when working with different corporate functions;
  • Stakeholder management skills: strong understanding of relevant external stakeholders (policy makers, civil society, investors etc.), experience in stakeholder engagement;
  • English proficiency.
