Work directly for the Manager of the Energy Storage Development to develop X-ELIO’s capabilities within the battery energy storage system (BESS);
Understand the role of energy storage in different markets/regions and develop business cases for BESS assets;
Lead business case analysis for specific projects in the development, incorporating internal and external revenue modelling tools and cash-flow analysis;
Coordinate with internal partners, consultants, and suppliers to prepare materials for executive committee and board-level approvals for projects in development, project acquisitions, and key off-take transactions;
Propose commercialization strategies for BESS assets;
Engage directly with internal stakeholders, including investment analysis, finance, M&A, engineering, and others, as part of a successful project development;
Communicate key results to managers in verbal, visual, and written media.
What do we need?
Bachelor’s degree or completing Master’s degree in a field such as engineering, computer science, data, economics, mathematics, statistics, or business management;
3-5 years of prior experience in energy and power business development or trading (front-, middle-, or back-office);
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and balance priorities independently;
Knowledge of the energy sector, electricity markets, and/or PPA structures, etc. A passion for renewables energy sustainability;
Comfort building and reviewing cash flow models and working with data.
