Are you an expert in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you! We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our Investment Management Team in Copenhagen.

About team and position

You will join a highly motivated international group of best-in-class colleagues with exceptional experience in investments in energy and infrastructure assets. The Investment Management team is responsible for CIP’s investment in construction and operations and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP including the Investment teams, Financial Analysis, and Finance.

In this position, you will support CIP’s investments in European BESS projects together with a senior team member of the Investment Management team. The main responsibility will be to help monitor the investment performance, mitigate risks, and contribute to optimization initiatives throughout the construction phase and operation phase.

Other key work areas include:

• Providing detailed analytics with a focus on the investments’ value creation
• Support development of CIP framework for BESS technology and revenue optimisations
• Delivering high quality reporting to CIP senior management and investors on the investments’ performance
• Preparing material for decision making on senior management level
• Interacting closely with the senior team members in the Investment Management team

About you

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Law
• Minimum two years of work experience within private equity, investment management, management consulting, or financial management
• Clear demonstration of driving successful projects
• Track record of involvement in BESS projects, either at development, construction or operations phase, with a focus on UK market preferred
• Exceptional performance and a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
• Advanced skills within Excel and PowerPoint are a requirement
