We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Portfolio Management team in London. This exciting opportunity places a strong focus on enhancing our flexible generation capability, whilst also contributing to the optimization and hedging of our existing portfolio. What you will do:

• Develop and maintain the GB (and Ireland) flexible generation capability, including the understanding and potential optimisation of different generating asset income streams (such as Balancing Mechanism and Ancillary Services);
• Maintain relationships with all parts of the business including origination and counterparts in other analytical functions within the company;
• Explore and understand, and where appropriate assist in the integration of Group data capabilities into the UK & Ireland Portfolio Management team;
• Engage with and respond to client interactions to provide a first in class client experience;
• Follow the established Axpo UK training framework to become an FCA-certified member of the team.

What you bring & who you are:

• A Bachelor's degree in an analytically-based discipline or ideally a Master's degree in an analytically-based discipline;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy asset optimization and trading;
• Familiarity with modeling and optimizing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and flexible asset revenue streams;
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in analyses and decision-making;
• Proactive and driven to understand complex problems, offering innovative solutions;
• Proficient in statistical analysis and modeling;
• Fluent in English;
• Experience using Python and SQL desirable.
