The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our world leading sustainability team, and to work with high profile clients across the built environment.

As part of our growing team, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will utilise and develop your knowledge of climate related risk within the built environment to strengthen our service, develop further our team and to support the continued growth our business in this area.

You will work with a wide range of clients across a range of built environment sectors including investors, developers, landlords and designers. This will include supporting clients to assess their climate related risk, to develop their strategies and policies and to partner with them over time to manage away these risks. Some of the requirements of the role will include:

  • Developing client relationships;
  • Growing and developing a happy, high performing and motivated team;
  • Strengthening and developing our climate related risk service;
  • Researching industry best practice and developing partnerships where required;
  • Creating innovating and solutions and proposals to our clients;
  • Identifying and assessing climate related risks and opportunities; both physical and transitional;
  • Advising on clients’ sustainability and climate risk strategies, their business models, governance approaches as well as policies and process;
  • Working with our engineering & design teams, making recommendations to manage these risks;
  • Partnering our clients to support their risk management activities over time;
  • Assisting in the reporting and disclosure of climate risk;
  • Advising clients on wider sustainability challenges.

The Skills

We would expect you to be degree level qualified or equivalent, with a demonstrable track record in climate related risk within the built environment.

Some of the skills we would expect you to demonstrate are:

  • A team player with strong leadership skills;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • A good eye for detail;
  • Understanding of TCFD and other climate risk frameworks and methodologies;
  • Strong appreciation for the policy context, disclosure and regulatory landscape;
  • Strong understanding of climate risk within the context of the built environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex issues clearly;
  • A strong project management ability and track record;
  • Very good client relationships development abilities;
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset and being keen to continue to learn;
  • Adopting an inclusive leadership approach as you work with a diverse, global team;
  • A passion for making a positive impact and a commitment to tackling the climate crisis.
