JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Head of PV Project Origination based in Rome, you will ensure the achievement of objectives in terms of photovoltaic projects portfolio. You will be actively involved in the following missions:

MARKET INTELLIGENCE, REGULATORY WATCH

  • Proactively carry-on market intelligence with the assistance of the marketing officer, analyse new market opportunities, competitor watch

PROSPECTING AND CONQUEST OF NEW PROJECTS

  • Identify new business opportunities by way of networking and connecting with people;
  • Targeted business opportunities (scouting land, electricity supply contrats, acquisition, EPC contract…);
  • Conduct the studies in the assessment phase, with the assistance of in-house teams and advisors, in all areas of the projects : technical, legal (corporate, tax, regulatory, compliance), permitting, financial;
  • Manage the tender process when applicable, including analysis of the tender documents and process;
  • Lead the negotiation phases and the drafting of contracts, in order to achieve the contractual security of projects;
  • Provide reporting and ensure a proper risk assessment of the projects through the digital management system.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure hands-on management of the business development team, including recruitments, learning, etc.;
  • Liaise with the headquarter managers in a matrix organization (co-management of cartographer or marketing officer for example with the cartography department manager or Communication and Marketing Director).

REQUIRED PROFILE

You have a Master’s degree in Engineering or Sales with at least 10 years of experience at a similar position.

You have a perfect knowledge of the Photovoltaic and Electricity markets in Italy, and on the actors of the sector.

You have demonstrated the following skills:

  • Excellent selling skills for complex sales cycle in the renewables or real estate sectors;
  • Effective communication with various types of counterparties and at all levels (farmers, local elected representatives, executive managers of industry players, etc.) and ability to build relationships;
  • A drive to get things done, by taking initiatives and solve problems, and an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • Ability to multitask analytical skills and front communication with counterparties;
  • Team oriented behavior;
  • Self organized and autonomous, ability to grow efforts and responsibilities;
  • Experience in team management;
  • You are fluent in English (minimum level C1) – French would be appreciated.
