Then you might be our new Senior Contract Manager for Ammongas, a new strategic pillar in European Energy’s business portfolio.

Your new role:

As a Contract Manager you will play a pivotal role leading contract negotiations and ensuring the effective management and optimization of client contracts. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain robust contracts that align with business objectives, mitigate risks, and maximize value. The role supports a number of Ammongas’ functional teams (sales, projects, service, carbon capture) related to contracts.

You can expect travel activity in Denmark and internationally approximately 20% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Negotiation:

  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms, pricing and maximizing net profit;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and partnerships.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in several countries and jurisdictions (domestically/internationally);
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation through execution to renewal or termination of the contract;
  • Monitor contract performance and address deviations or issues promptly, during the phases of project execution, commissioning, and service;
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts, and develop mitigation initiatives;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, team members, and the procurement manager to identify opportunities for supplier optimization and cost efficiencies.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, finance, project, sales, service and operations teams;
  • Provide guidance and support to leadership on contract-related matters and support Ammongas Contract Management Committee meetings.

Contract Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements;
  • Develop and implement processes to monitor and enforce compliance.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on contract performance, cost savings, and optimization initiatives;
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Job prerequisites

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or a related field;
  • This position requires a skilled negotiator with a keen understanding of the biogas industry, contract management principles, and the ability to drive supplier optimization initiatives;
  • Excellent understanding of biogas market dynamics, regulations, and industry trends;
  • Experience with the carbon capture industry is an advantage;
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract outcomes;
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and strategies;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting;
  • Solid IT skills and proficiency in written and spoken English.
